Why the zebra, you ask?
The zebra is the perfect analogy because even though zebras look black and white, they are actually just one color underneath the fur (please watch the video to reveal answer). We would only know that if we looked closer to see its true colors. Transferring this over to humans, by simply interacting with people in a meaningful way allows us to see who they are underneath.
