What Can You do?

Believe it or not, spreading T.H.E. Zebra Initiative is quite easy, as it is just simply meeting or getting to know people for who they actually are.

Students

  • Say a simple “hello” to the kid you pass by regularly.
  • Ask for a classmate’s name that you don’t know.
  • Spend lunch or talk to someone outside your normal group of friends.
  • Start a club or group at school for T.H.E. Zebra Initiative.
  • Reduce one rumor or misconception by “thinking before speaking.”

Educators

  • Have your school or class listen to T.H.E. Zebra Initiative Speech in person or on video.
  • Create lesson plans supporting this initiative and share them here.
  • Develop school-wide activities that break down misconceptions in communities.
  • Sponsor a club or group at school for T.H.E. Zebra Initiative.

Adults

  • Talk to colleagues in a different department.
  • Spend lunch with a new colleague who joined your company.
  • Say “hello” to your next door neighbor who’s been living there for years.
  • Reduce one misconception by “thinking before speaking.”
